Samsung introduced solutions based on Mobile WiMAX


Samsung is first demonstrated at Mobile World Congress 2008 new and innovative solutions based on Mobile WiMAX, including the Access Service Network (ASN).
ASN solutions include the new base station, the scale of the hot zone and the building of a large U-RAS Flexible and U-RAS Light Series 3. U-RAS Flexible provides coverage of small and medium-range indoor. It includes RF and digital blocks, which greatly simplifies and reduces the cost of installation and maintenance of the device in makrozonah. The base station U-RAS Light Series 3 - very compact and lightweight. It replaces the intermediate amplifiers WiMAX, while providing much higher performance and management systems makrosetevymi. With the improved coverage and new integrated services, such as Quadruple Play, this base station helps reduce interference and improve performance over large-scale WiMAX networks.
In addition to the systems the company also introduced the ASN peripheral WiMAX- equipment of different form factors, including the periphery which is installed in the USB and PC Card, standalone client device, the modules for PDA, UMPC, personal media players and laptops.
These systems, as well as products that Samsung already offers in the market, represent a comprehensive portfolio of solutions of Mobile WiMAX, which is suitable to the business model of any operator.
On the example of his own making Mobile WiMAX company also demonstrated the interaction between the GSM- network Alcatel-Lucent and network equipment for Mobile WiMAX Samsung. Visitors to the exhibition and conference has been shown non-stop streaming video on a dual-band wireless device during the transition from a Mobile WiMAX network in the GSM-network. This demonstration was the one example of a business application of WiMAX technology in the European market, where GSM is the prevailing standard for mobile networks.
In addition, at Mobile World Congress 2008 Samsung has also introduced the next generation technology - Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) - a new step in the development of Mobile WiMAX. The company demonstrated at its booth, streaming OFDMA- broadcast high-definition video at a speed of 1 Gb / s.
